Vivo V50e 5G with Dimensity 7300 Chip and 120Hz AMOLED Launched

Vivo has offered a new smartphone with 5G network capability for Indian consumers, called the Vivo V50e 5G. The handset is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an IP68+IP69 rating for water and dust resistance and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The handset price in India at Rs. 28,999 (approximately $340) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage model. The 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage model carries a price tag of Rs. 30,999 (approximately $360). The company offers Pearl White and Sapphire Blue color options for the Vivo V50e. Customers can purchase the device in India via Flipkart, Amazon, and the Vivo India e-store starting April 17. However, the pre-booking for the device is currently available.

The smartphone gets a 6.77-inch full-HD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels. The display features a refresh rate of 120Hz, up to 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1800nits of peak brightness, HDR10+, 2160Hz PWM dimming rate, and SGS low blue light certification. It is protected by Diamond Shield Glass. Furthermore, the device has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo V50e is equipped with a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The device has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. In the software department, the Vivo V50e runs on Android 15 with FunTouchOS 15 skin on the top. The handset will receive three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

For camera, it arrives with a dual camera unit on the back housing a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stablisation with an f/1.79 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 116-degree field-of-view and an f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone has a 50MP front-facing camera.

It is powered by a 5,600mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The phone offers an IP68 and IP69-rated certification for water and dust resistance. Talking about connectivity features, the Vivo V50e includes 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.4, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

The Pearl White variant measures 163.29 x 76.72 x 7.39mm while the Sapphire Blue color variant measures 163.29 x 76.72 x 7.61mm, and weighs about 186 grams.
