Airtel has announced a new offer known as “Airtel Zero” under which you can access to many mobile sites without incurring any mobile data cost. This means that you will able to chat, browse and shop for free on certain websites under this plan. Initially Airtel Zero will only be available in Android and iOS platform. This is a great step towards free internet access to the people over the country.
Airtel already has a great loyal customers base in India, therefore the Airtel Zero plan is likely to benefit a large pie of mobile users. Srini Gopalan, the Director of Bharti Airtel (India), has stated that they are very excited to launch ‘Airtel Zero’ plan, which is an open and non-discriminatory marketing platform for all developers in India – irrespective of the size of their business.
The date of implementation of this plan is still not known but you can soon hear more about this in coming weeks. This will a revolutionary move by Airtel towards the ‘Free Internet’ motive in India.
