Many of us, including me, are waiting for the release of Xiaomi Mi4 in India and two days back it has been announced that Mi4 will available exclusively on Flipkart from 10th Feb for registered users of this sale for a price of Rs. 19,999. If you have not registered for the sale, then you can do this by visiting registration pageNow lets start up with the cons and pros of Xiaomi Mi4 (Indian model) and let us know whether it is worth to spend Rs. 19,999 for this flagship device.

First of all lets talk about the positive aspects of Xiaomi Mi4.

  • 5 inches IPS display with a sharp resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. A pixel density of over 441 PPI.
  • It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor and Adreno 330. Thus it has the latest processor and chipset on the time of its release.
  • It has 3 GB of RAM which can handle almost every application and games with ease.
  • A 13 MP primary shooter and a 8 MP front facing camera.
  • It has 3080 mAh battery, which is capable enough to give long lasting battery backup. It also support Quick Charge 2.0.

So when we go through the points above, it seems that Mi4 is a perfect device and is priced very well. But there certainly are some points that you must consider before opting for this device.

  • No 4G support for Indian version.
  • Only 16 GB of internal memory for Indian version, also the phone has non-expandable memory, which means we cannot use memory card to expand the memory.
  • No black color available in India. OMG, we have no choice for even colors, we have to end up with white color only.
  • No Android 5.0 Lollipop till date, when even the first generation Motorola Moto G has got lollipop taste in it.
  • No Dual LED flash.
  • Non-removable battery.
  • The phone is already 6 month old (launched in August 2014) and rumors are already there for Xiaomi Mi5.

So , there are some negative and positive points that you must consider before making any move. If you can bear with the above listed cons, then Mi4 is a way to go, else you need to continue your search for a perfect smart phone.
