One of the most famous tool for a rooted device for various features and customisations, Xposed, has now been updated for Android Lollipop and now it is compatible with ART runtime. Earlier, it was stated by the developer that it is very difficult to write the application again for Android Lollipop, but a surprise was given by the developer 3 days back when an alpha version of Xposed got released for Android Lollipop (ART Runtime).
As per the members of XDA, the alpha version is working flawlessly in almost all the devices which have Android 5.xx in it. So I tried to install Xposed framework in my Motorola Moto X 2014 also, on the first go nothing got installed. Therefore I have to flash the zip file again along with clearing the dalvik and cache and then it work perfectly in Moto X also.
Steps to Install Xposed in Lollipop
- First of all you must have a rooted device.
- Then download this zip file and flash it via custom recovery, like TWRP.
- After flashing the above file, download and install the Xposed APK file.
- Thats it, now you can begin installing various modules in Xposed.
Please note that Xposed for Lollipop is still in alpha stage and it may not work in all devices and there might be some bugs, so you have to proceed with your own risk.
